For newcomers, welcome and thank you for spending time on our site. We are the YMCA Greystone Family Branch and have a broad range of individualized and group fitness and sport teams for every member of your family. From our many specialty programs, group aerobics classes and personal training options, there is something for everybody. With no contract to sign, we offer you flexibility with your membership.
In becoming a member, you will find yourself among neighbors and friends who are interested in the same pursuits you are, whether that be getting in shape in one of our many exercise, swimming or tennis classes or spending ‘family time’ on your own.
Our staff of certified trainers and instructors will assist you every step of the way from your initial orientation to recommending classes for your specific goals. Our pledge to you is to work hard to provide you with the best service possible and a real opportunity for wellness.

Program specific volunteers:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Community-led YMCA’s depend on the generosity and dedication from people like you. Volunteers are at the center of YMCA’s- from reading to pre-schoolers and leading family activities including swimming, field youth sports teams and fitness programs. They also serve on policymaking boards that set the strategic direction for YMCA’s and partner with professional staff to ensure that community needs are met effectively. Listed on the following pages is a list of positions in need of volunteers. For more information on any of the description, please contact the director as indicated.
All Volunteers Must:
Complete Volunteer Application
Pass Background Check
Sign and adhere to “Volunteer Code of Conduct”
Complete orientation with Sport/Program Director
Attend “Hands On” training for specific position
Volunteer Coaches
Commit 8-12 hours per week
Have Some Prior Information of the Sport
Attend all games, meetings, and trainings
Teach student the necessary skills to be successful in the specific sport
Work to Build Character, Make a Difference, and Change Lives
Note: In all cases, a criminal background check is required and where needed, a Child Abuse/Neglect Clearance check is required
VIEW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
TENNIS
Tennis Courts are currently <PLAYABLE>
All YMCA members with the paid tennis option will have full access to:
- 8 soft courts with 6 illuminated. Great for year-round evening play.
- Adult and Junior USTA leagues, Softcourt/Interclub leagues, and LITL leagues.
- Social mixers.
- Drop-in clinics and Team clinics. Click "Adult Sports" for a current clinic schedule.
- Men's evening drop-in round-robins are held on Mondays and Wednesdays starting at 5pm.
Leagues for tennis members:
- REGULAR USTA is men and women's United States Tennis Association leagues.
These matches consist of two courts of singles and three courts of doubles (one singles and two doubles for 2.5 level) playing on hard or soft courts. Players must be USTA members and may self rate to enter the league. Levels of play are 2.5 to 5.0. Scoring is best 2 out of 3 sets with tiebreak. - USTA Junior Team Tennis (for kids 18 years and under)
These matches consist of two courts of singles (boys' singles and girls' singles) and three courts of doubles (boys' doubles, girls' doubles, and mixed doubles) playing on hard or soft courts. Players must be USTA members. Levels of play are QuickStart league (10 years and under; beginners' league; intermediate league; and advanced league). Scoring is 8-game pro set with tiebreak at 8-all. - SENIOR USTA is for men and women (team members must be 50 years of age) The players must have a USTA membership. Levels of play are 2.5 to 4.5. Scoring is best 2 out of 3 sets with a tiebreak. League play is on Monday and Sunday afternoons.
- SOFT COURT for ladies is matches played on clay courts only. Levels of play are from 2.5 to 5.5. Both LITL and SOFT COURT are played during the weekdays beginning at 9:00am with the same scoring as LITL.
- INTERCLUB LEAGUE for men is played by levels of A, B, and C. A and B level is played Saturdays at 9:00am and C level is played at 6:00pm on Thursday nights. The format varies according to level and whether it is spring or fall season.
- REGULAR COMBO is a league for both men and women played on either hard or soft courts. This league level is a combination of taking two different USTA levels and adding them together to form a level. (Such as 2.5 plays with a 3.0 to form a Combo level of 5.5). Scoring is best 2 out of 3 sets with tiebreak.
- MIXED COMBO is a league using men and women players to establish a team. The league level is a combination of taking two different USTA levels and adding them together to form a level. Matches are played on hard or soft courts, The scoring is best 2 out of 3 sets with tiebreak.
- LITL is Ladies Interclub Tennis League usually played on hard courts. Levels of play are 2.5 to 5.5. The league has 4 singles matches followed by 4 doubles matches. Scoring is 2 sets per match. If there is a tie in sets, games are counted.

Group Exercise
Whether your prefer group or individualized training, are a beginner or more advanced participant, our classes are designed for adults and kids who want the benefits of a conditioning program with the guidance of highly trained instructors. Our newest program includes Pilates Reformer which adds a strength element in addition to Pilates, Kids Yoga, Crunk Fitness and Zumba. Personal Training
Your individual fitness goal begins with a consultation that includes strength training, flexibility and cardio-exercise. We will identify programs that fit into your life-style and offer individual, buddy and group sessions at all price levels. Child Care
Our well-trained staff provide safe, affordable, high-quality care so you can have peace of mind while you work. After School care programs are NOW OPEN and children are split by age K and 1st grade, 2nd-4th grade, and 5th grade and up. YMCA buses pick-up at 11 local area schools including Berry Middle School. Team Sports Calendar
NO MORE TIME OUTS! is the rally cry for all YMCA youth team sports. It speaks to the importance of out of home fitness for those as young as three who learn that staying fit is fun. For parents, it instills valuable life long values for your kids that getting along with others, is a building block to a better future.
