Branch Hours of Operation
Hours during the summer are 7am-6pm for summer camp.
Sports programming takes place in the evenings and on Saturdays
Hours during the school year are 3pm-6pm for after school care
School PE classes and scheduled field trips take place during the school day by schedule
There are no drop in hours at this point.
Y Achievers Program
YMCA Achievers Program The Y Achievers program reaches into the heart of the community for both its adults and teen achievers. By recognizing and utilizing the talents of leaders who are successful in their careers, the program brings a much needed positive influence into the lives of young people. The Achievers program strongly incorporates the building of abundant assets. The central purpose of the program is to help teens set and pursue high education and career goals. Program Goals and Objectives: Help youth develop a positive sense of self Raise academic standards for youth Build character Expose students to diverse career options Provide role models whose success and knowledge will inspire youth to set and reach their goals. Create channels for continuing community involvement by business and industry. Activities: Career cluster meetings (business, medicine, architecture, etc.) Career Awareness Programs Speakers Bureau Business/Industry Tours Shadowing Career Fair Academic Support Tutoring Proficiency Prep ACT and SAT Prep Local College Tours Recreational/Social Activities Black History Showcase Rap Sessions Field trips to various locations Self-esteem workshops
Cultural Arts Programs
As part of our Cultural Arts Program we are offering Karate, Ballet, and Drama after school. We will soon be offering Tumbling, Hip Hop and Cheernastics!
Birthday Parties
Come to The Youth Center to celebrate your birthday and go through the roof on our indoor 30ft. climbing tower or splash down in our junior olympic size swimming pool. Opportunities include: *Access to our climbing tower or pool *Use of our full size gym *Use of birthday party area *Access to the football field and playground *Play at the Wii Station* Cost: $225-Up to 25 children. Over 25 children-$5 per child.
